Batu Maung Marine Waste Transfer Station
Batu Maung Marine Waste Transfer Station has started the operation in 2001 mainly for MBPP. During this time, municipal solid waste collected in Penang Island will be transfered to Pulau Burong landfill for final disposal via barge. The operation using this system ended in 2011 to allow the construction of Penang Second Brige as the alternative carriageway linking to Bandar Cassia - Batu Maung. The waste volume managed is 600tpd.

Ampang Jajar Waste Transfer Station
Ampang Jajar Waste Transfer Station located in Permatang Pauh, Seberang Perai Tengah. This transfer station started its operation for MBSP in 2011. Municipal solid waste collected by the waste collection trucks will be disposed in this station before being transfered to Pulau Burong landfill via "prime mover". The waste volume managed is 550tpd.

Batu Maung Waste Transfer Station
Batu Maung Waste Transfer Station designed for MBPP predominantly focuses on the functional, green and user-friendly concept. The entire facility is designed to comply with the Green Building Index Certification. The structural and asthetic design includes rain water harvesting, sunlight and recycled water. This station comprises of garden landscape surrounding the station which include public park with bicycle facilities and herbs & food garden in the station. This facility also provides a convenient one stop drop-off recyclable area and it is also disabled friendly. There are plans for this facility in future to reuse waste as a resource to convert to energy. The waste volume managed is 800tpd.
