Anaerobic Digester (AD)

Anaerobic digestion is widely used as a source of renewable energy. It involves a natural process in which organic matter is decomposed by micro-organisms in the absence of oxygen. Organics from separately collected or source-sorted waste are ideal feedstock for this technology. The process produces a biogas, consisting of methane, carbon dioxide which can be used directly as fuel, in combined heat and power gas engines.
